i'm confused

well, there's this boy called allen, and i like him... and wants to be his girlfriend but then he's my brother's best friend... so... yea... would it be awkward? we stare at each other a lot of time. once i was on the stair case's top and he's at the bottom. i saw him and he saw me too, we looked at each other for a long time... i'm even not sure if i should give him a chocolate during the valentins day...

This is your brother's best friend. I understand you are scared to tell him but imagine if you and Allen secretly date and he finds out 6 months later. He will be even angry and surprised at you and Allen.
You don't have to tell your brother now. You can wait until after Valentines Day. And no I don't think it is a bad idea to give Allen a gift, just make seem more like a friendship thing. Maybe the gift will make Allen reveal something he feels about you. If Allen does confront you about how he feels about you, then you can get him to tell your brother. But whether he tells him or not, he should know about this. Especially if Allen is his best friend.

i told my friends, and asked them questions.. but i don't really think it worked. and i think i don't have the guts to go tell my brother that i like him.. ciz he's his best friend >< my brother might think i'm crazy.. and allen might dislike me more?? so i really should tell my brother?

I have been confronted with my sister's friends in the past and I would just tell that I couldn't be involved. I guess because yeah it would be extremely ackward. I mean a situation such as this can cause issues with you and your brother, your brother and his friend. It even can change things with you and Allen. It can be crazy.

I'm notgoing to lie to you,there have been a few that I regretted to a chance on. So ask yorself is Allen really worth the risk? Would you regret not giving it a shot? If you want to give it a try with him I would advise you to talk to your brother about him first. That way you can know how he feels about it and also gain some info you may not know about Allen. For example your brother may tell you he is a good guy, or that he has a lot of girls and wouldn't be right. In any case your brother knows Allen and what type of person he is better than you do.

But let me know how this turns out.
